A blog by Clint Combs

A while ago I heard that Rush Limbaugh was going to start podcasting and the other day he confirmed it. His podcast starts on June 3rd.

It doesn't look like it'll be your typical wide open podcast because you'll have to pay to hear it on the "Rush 24/7" portion of his site. I'm curious to see how they'll integrate the podcasting experience into the site. They could leave an RSS feed wide open and then link into the pay portion of the site. The security implications of such a setup are something I'm interested in exploring.

Current support for secure logins and private feeds in aggregators is pretty weak. The ones that do support security only have HTTP authentication over SSL at best. This is an open area that needs a lot of work.
