[Java] Google to Deploy Rich Java Clients in 2006

I've become increasingly convinced that Google will do for desktop Java in 2006 what they've already done for AJAX. With the release of their Maps and GMail applications Google made it not only acceptable, but popular to deploy rich internet clients using DHTML, JavaScript, and XMLHttpRequest. An exciting Google desktop app will do the same for rich client Java applications.
